About us

This website is operated by Sydney Cigar Club Pty Ltd (ABN to be displayed on registration), an Australian registered company trading as Sydney Cigar Club, of 1 Macquarie Place, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia . By using this website or placing an order you accept these terms.

Age restriction

It is illegal to sell tobacco products to persons under 18 in Australia. You must be at least 18 years of age to use this website or purchase from it. We verify your date of birth at checkout, and every delivery requires the signature of an adult aged 18+ who may be asked to show photo identification. Orders that cannot be age-verified will be cancelled and refunded.

Where we sell

We sell and deliver within Australia only. We cannot accept orders for delivery into South Australia, where the law prohibits tobacco being sold to consumers by internet, phone or mail order.

Prices, GST and duty

All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. Customs duty on our imported tobacco products has been paid on importation — there are no further taxes, duties or customs charges for you to pay. A tax invoice is provided with every order.

Orders and payment

Once we receive your order it takes 1 to 3 business days to process. You will receive an automated order confirmation by email; if you do not receive it, please contact us. Payment is by PayID or bank transfer using the instructions provided at checkout and by email (card payments are coming soon). For instant payment confirmation, contact us on the website live chat. Your order is dispatched once payment clears. Unpaid orders are cancelled after 7 days.

Delivery

Orders are delivered by tracked courier and require the signature of an adult aged 18+. Parcels are never left unattended. If a parcel is lost in transit, we will reship it or refund you in full — the risk of loss in transit is ours, not yours.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes those rights.

Damaged, faulty or incorrect items

Please inspect your order on arrival and contact us at info@sydneycigarclub.com.au as soon as possible — photos of the packaging and products help us resolve things quickly. If an item arrives damaged, is faulty, or is not what you ordered, we will replace it or refund you, and we cover any return postage. Cigars are a natural, hand-rolled product: minor cosmetic variation between individual cigars is normal and is not a fault, but a cigar that is genuinely defective (for example, unsmokeably plugged) will be replaced or refunded.

Change of mind

Because cigars are perishable and stored to strict humidity standards, we cannot accept change-of-mind returns on tobacco products once the outer packaging has been opened. Unopened accessories (humidors, cutters, lighters) may be returned within 30 days in original condition; return postage for change-of-mind returns is at your cost. This policy is in addition to, and does not limit, your Australian Consumer Law rights.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
